THE LS/FF 23 ROUND-UP
As the dust settles on another successful London Surf Film Festival, and those that took the trip up to the capital disperse into the wilder corners of the UK, we reflect on a brilliant few days at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith.
Northcore served as title sponsor for the 12th annual London Surf Film Festival Shorties event. We secured VIP tickets and attended Thursday and Friday evening screenings, experiencing a diverse lineup of surf films and meeting filmmakers and creators.
Massive thanks to event organisers Demi Taylor and Chris Nelson — legends in the game, supporting young talent and giving surf filmmakers a platform to share their work.
LS/FF 23 x Northcore Shortie of the Year
Winner: Thomas Horig for his film So, Bonnie Land. Thomas described it as "a short film of gratitude to a wild and beautiful place, and the folk who make it so." We presented Thomas with an embroidered Beach Basha Pro as his prize.
LS/FF 23 x Northcore Emerging Talent
Winner: Robert Blackett for There And Back Again, documenting "a journey North for new cold water experiences and waves of consequence with Woody New and a wild forecast to accompany."
